NMCA and NCTI offers the Paper and Pencil TEAS exam
The Test of Essential Academic Skills is more commonly called the TEAS Test. It’s an admissions test for nursing schools, and is often required as part of the application process. The TEAS Test is published by ATI Testing. They released the sixth edition of the test on August 31, 2016, and this new version is called the ATI TEAS 6 Test.
The previous version was called the TEAS V Test, and some minor updates and revisions were made for version 6. The test now consists of 170 multiple choice questions that must be answered within 209 minutes. You can choose to take the test on a computer or the paper and pencil version. Each of the questions has four possible answers to choose from. The topics covered are reading, math, science and English. The topics and learning objectives are based on information that is generally taught in grades 7 through 12. The purpose of the test is to measure the entry-level abilities and skills of nursing program applicants.
